One day at a family function,
A relative of great reputation,
Asked for my introduction.
Well, he was an aged person,
So I thought, he might have forgotten!
I told him my name and cited my patriarchy,
Hoping not to have erred in the details of the hierarchy.
He did not seem happy on my answer,
And i thought i had definitely made a blunder;
And just then he replied,
That was just your name child !
I already knew all that information,
I had asked you for an introduction!
Confused, i said that i am a student .
To him this seemed to be an invalid argument .
He commanded "Its your profession".
"And not your introduction"!
I began thinking "Is he sane?"
And asked him to explain .
He then stated his conclusion,
He said that an introduction,
Isnt by name and profession,
Instead it is by identity
And it is really a state of pity,
That even the highly educated person,
Is incapable of giving his own "introduction"...
